Lonely Hour

Hey
I’m feeling kinda seasick
It’s been a couple years since last time we were eye to eye
I know that time takes hold and the tide won’t wait for one soul
And it’s easy to ignore the damage when the waters high
I’ve been living in the lonely hour and I need something new
Say
That it’s a matter of perspective
Drifting in and out of phase is all we’re doomed to do
In a world of turning cycles screaming sirens
If you keep your eyes wide open
Life finds you
I’ve been living in the lonely hour and I want something new
When the world is on the run
And the words have found the page
When all the nights are gone
Will nothing be the same
And I’m swimming through these bed sheets cross the ocean where we came
For all the nights to come
can we hold on to our name
I’ve been living in the lonely hour and I need something new
I’ve been breathing in the midnights fumes now give me something true
I’ve been living in the lonely hour now give me something
I’ve been living in the lonely hour please give me something
Hey
I’m feeling kinda homesick
It’s been a little while since I was knocking at your door
I’ve been going through the motions that we’ve all been spun before
I can’t hold on to the time we lived before
I’ve been living in the lonely hour and I need something more
When the world is on the run
And the words have found the page
When all the nights are gone
Will nothing be the same
And we’re swimming through these bed sheets cross the ocean where we came
For all the nights to come
can we hold on to our name
If we swam into the moon
Would we drown before the sun
But if we held on for the morning
Would we even care what we were swimming from
(but) we know this wont be forever just for a time
Until we fall into the epilogue
And set the book aside
And we’re swimming through these bed sheets cross the ocean where we came
For all the nights to come
can we hold on to our name

New Year
04:18

New Years Eve again
This year I’m in my own skin
It’s taken so long
But I’ve learnt to swim
I’m mine again
We move through crowds of buzzing strangers
Laughing as we peak
Outrun the nightmares
After blood we keep
We’re on our feet
When the clocks strike midnight please don’t fade away
I feel free again
This year I feel wide awake
Darkness falls be-
hind our silhouettes
There’s light ahead
Apartment Windows
Are telling their own stories their own shapes
And I cant look away before they end
When the clocks strike midnight please don’t fade away
Although
The fear has gripped me tight enough to cry
And my legs have turned to ashes
And my mind has turned to ashes
We’ll be alright
Alright
Alright
Wild fires are burning though the deepest crimson light
Fireworks are raging in the deep we’ve come alive
